Setting your Facade
At the poker table the way you look at your cards can be a great weapon for you. By this I mean if you are able to make your opponents believe you are weak when you have a monster then you will be able to relieve them of their chips very easily.
Always set your face or your facade before you look at your cards. When you buy a new home the facade is a very important factor that influences your buying decisions. The same is also true when you are assessing your competition at the poker table.
Does my opponent look strong? Do they look weak? Are they trying to make me believe something erroneous? They should also be asking the same questions about you.......
Always watch your opponents when they look at their hole cards. Look for their tells. Gauge how long they look at their cards for. Were their any facial ticks or changes in demeanour? Did they swallow or lick their lips? Did you believe them? Then, always remember that they 'should' be watching you. What did you do when you looked at your cards?
With practice you will be able to set your facade and then change it to suit what you want your opponents to believe!
Good luck at the tables!
