Aussie Millions January 6-19 — With the Full Tilt team all coming over for the Aussie Millions, which started this week, Melbourne will be THE place to see some of the worlds’ most famous poker players and tennis players (oh yes there is also a tennis tournament on).

The tournament is fast gaining a reputation as one of the best poker tournaments outside the US of A. With Phil Ivey, Phil Gordon, Howard Lederer, Gus Hansen et al all expected to compete, plus local boy Joe Hachem and last year’s winner Lee Nelson back to defend his title this will be your best opportunity to watch some of the biggest names in world poker up close and personal.

NSW poker is getting even bigger and better with several companies looking to run poker only venues. PokerDome has recently opened it’s doors and Never Ending Pokerare opening soon. With SkyCityincreasing it’s poker room the two states of VIC and NSW are competing for poker supremacy.

Casino Royale — If you haven’t yet seen the latest Bond film then what are you waiting for? Despite following the usual formula the latest James Bond is more buff than previous actors and the big poker tournament is well worth watching. If everyone has a “tell” according to James can you spot his?

PokerJokes

A man came home from a poker game late one night and found his hideous harpy of a wife waiting for him with a rolling pin.

"Where the hell have you been?" she asked.

"You'll have to pack all your things, dear," he ad-libbed. "I've just lost you in a card game."

"How did you manage to do that?"

"It wasn't easy. I had to fold a royal flush."
